I LOVE Brio! I grew up on it!!! It was great having a mag that I didn't feel guilty reading. My friends and I loved reading fashion mags, but I always felt weird when reading the advice columns. It seemed like girls were always asking "When is the right time to start having sex?" Yikes! (P.S. after you're married!) Brio has fun articles, Christian Stars, and advice to help young women develop character.
This article was a bit dry at first, be patient and keep reading. The article gets to the point about half way through.
Quite true. Our society doesn't seem to care much anymore of what God thinks or on what is pure and right (Phil. 4:8). Thanks for the little reminder on how much we need to be different then the culture we live in.
I read that article and i agree that the world portrays too many things as being sexy and inappropriate for so many girls. However, I don't think that it is wrong to feel sexy whatsoever. I have a gorgeous black modest dress that fits me just perfectly and I feel so sexy in it. To me, feeling sexy is just another way to say I feel hot and beautiful and I am definitely going to turn heads. I see nothing wrong with feeling sexy as long as you are modestly dressed. When I say I feel sexy, I don't apply it to wanting to have sex or asking for it. I think of it as something that gives me extra confidence. So, I both disagree and agree with this article.
