So cute…I love all those and the colors are so pretty!
Adorable! I could deffinitely wear those skirts to church, thanks!
oh i totally love the skinny jeans outfit!!
These set of photos are much better than the first photo shoot. Awesome!
Beautiful clothes – but on the downside did you know that members of the church are NOT supposed to depict wings on Angels? Not ever, under any circumstances. Why portray something that we don’t believe in and that is false – sorry guys. Otherwise, fantastic photos.
Thanks for the great comments!
The wings are to bring to mind an angelic quality, and it is the easiest way to do that. Plus it ties in with Christmas, and this is our winter editorial. We know that angels don’t have wings and it seems silly to me to actually believe they would. The wings in this editorial are for fun and fashion, not doctrine. Don’t take it so seriously 😉
Our Primary recently had its Sacrament Presentation and the Primary Pres. wanted some of the children to wear angel wings and she had the same reasonings: looks cute, OF COURSE we don’t believe it, and its not serious. Well, our Bishop explained the gospel is always serious. What about non-members – come on, lets be missionaries where ever we can and not follow worldly traditions, lets spread the truth even in small things!!
Wearing wings does not set a bad example. It’s not wrong for the model to be dressed in angel wings for fun just as it is not wrong to dress up as a wizard or a witch for Halloween. By that same reasoning, it would be wrong to do any dressing up because it is not a part of “doctrine.” Anonymous took the wings deal too far.
I think Anonyomous makes a valid point Heather – why do we dress up as witches and choose to look evil on Halloween, we arent following the 13th article of faith are we? Cool clothes Jen – I would wear them, minus the wings of course!! 🙂
Has anyone been to Temple square at christmas time? Becuase I have seen angels with wings as part of the nativity on temple square. Deseret Book also sells nativities with angels with wings.
It’s a fun fashion editorial not doctrine. And I love the modest fashion. Good work! Speaking of the 13th article of faith, I’m so glad that Jen Magazine is here to support us girls in being modest and chaste. I can’t wait for the next fashion editorial!
I love the angels wings and all-I asked my bishop and he couldn’t believe that it was even an issue-in church maybe-but not on a photo shoot in a magazine promoting modesty!! I think a non-member reading the posts would be turned away from learning more about our church! I love art-I don’t see ANYTHING wrong-Seriously I am thankful that you are actually taking a stand for modesty-discussing something as SILLY as wings takes away from all of the work you are doing-THANK YOU!!
Love the photos, but sometimes the poses keep you from being able to see the outfit well. Know what I mean? I’m here for the clothes, so I want to SEE the outfit and how it hangs when you stand.
Love the mag, keep up the good work!
I would like to buy the wings…. Just Kidding! What a fun way to encourage girls that modesty can be creative and fun!
