Make Your Exercise Fun!
There are so many fun ways to stay in shape. A "workout" doesn't have to feel like work. Try something new and different today! You'll feel great about it.
Here are just some of the ways I stay in shape. Use these ideas when you get in an exercise or fitness rut and try getting friends, siblings, a date, etc. involved to make it more fun:-Take walks when the weather is good or jog/run.
-Take a new class.
-Play outside.
-Race.
-Climb trees.
-Jump rope.
-Hula hoop.
-Do cartwheels.
-Skip It.
-Play Frisbee or Frisbee golf.
-Go to the park or a school playground.
-Do a charity walk or run.
-Body surf at the beach.
-Take up a new sport.
-Go hiking or backpacking.
-Ride a bike.
-Exercise using a baby as a weight. They think it's a ride.
-Walk around at the mall.
-Exercise while watching TV or a rented movie.
-Get the home PC version of Dance Dance Revolution or another workout game.
-Go canoeing.
-Go to a dance and actually dance, go to a clean dance club, or dance at home.
-Make up a choreographed dance with some friends.
-Go to a good shopping/tourist district of the city and walk around all day.
-Swim.
-Listen to an audio book while exercising.
-Go skating or ice skating.
-Go to the YMCA.
-Go through a corn maze.
-If you usually drive, see how much gas you can save by walking to places.
-Walk your dog or a neighbor's dog.
-Babysit young kids.
-Work in the yard.
-Plant a garden.
-Learn rock climbing.
-Using the stairs or fire escape (be careful), climb to the top of a tall building and then enjoy the view.
-Clean the whole house.
